Nadine Aufermann moves from operational corporate compliance to external legal advice - industry experience to strengthen preventive and reactive compliance services.
The Frankfurt commercial law firm AGS Legal is strengthening its compliance practice with the appointment of Nadine Aufermann as Of Counsel. The former Chief Compliance Officer at Viessmann brings extensive industry experience to the law firm, which specializes in commercial law conflicts. Aufermann has been responsible for the compliance function at the Munich-based heating technology group since June 2025 and is now expanding her activities to include external advisory mandates. This dual role enables direct transfer between operational corporate practice and strategic legal advice.
The new partnership is based on already established cooperation on various compliance projects between Aufermann and AGS Legal. This proven cooperation will now be institutionalized and expanded to a broader mandate basis. AGS Legal focuses on the development of compliance systems, suspicious case management and the investigation of compliance violations. Aufermann's industry perspective is intended in particular to optimize the interface between operational implementation and legal management.
Aufermann's professional career spans various large companies and industries. Between May 2020 and October 2023, she was Head of Corporate Compliance at Giesecke+Devrient. Additional career stages took her to Airbus and Sixt. This cross-sector experience in aviation, automotive, security and heating technology gives her a broad understanding of different compliance requirements and industry risks.
Operational compliance expertise is becoming increasingly valuable for professional services law firms. Clients expect practical advice that goes beyond theoretical legal knowledge and offers practicable solutions to complex compliance challenges. Aufermann's dual role enables AGS Legal to develop innovative advisory approaches that meet both legal requirements and operational feasibility. This combination becomes a competitive advantage in an increasingly complex regulatory environment.
