CFO change at Flix: Christoph Debus leaves, Benjamin Gubitz takes over

Christoph Debus is leaving Flix as CFO to take on a new role at the Rewe Group. His successor is Benjamin Gubitz.

Christoph Debus joins the Rewe Group

Christoph Debus, CFO at Flix since 2022, is stepping down from his position to join the Rewe Group as CEO of Dertour and Divisional Board Member for Tourism from March 2025. Debus brings with him extensive experience from the tourism industry, including positions at Condor and Thomas Cook.

Change to the Supervisory Board

Debus will remain with Flix in a new role: From March, he will take a seat on the Supervisory Board. CEO André Schwämmlein emphasizes the merits of the outgoing CFO and looks forward to continuing the collaboration.

Benjamin Gubitz takes over the CFO role

Benjamin Gubitz, who has held various management roles at Flix since 2015, is to become the new CFO. He will be responsible for Finance, Controlling and Corporate Development from March 2025. The handover will take place gradually to ensure a smooth transition.

New investors and growth

In summer 2024, Flix acquired EQT and Kühne Holding as investors, who together hold 35% of the company. With a valuation of over 3 billion euros, the focus is on global growth and new markets. Stock market plans are not currently a priority.
